WELCOME TO ISR BONITA SPRINGS/ESTERO

Infant Swimming Resource’s Self-Rescue™ program teaches children from 6 months to 6 years of age how to survive if they were to reach the water alone. Unlike traditional swimming lessons, ISR’s survival swimming technique is a product of over 45 years of research and development, and is the safest approach to survival swimming in the world. Focused on your child’s stage of development and readiness, each one-on-one ISR lesson is customized to your child abilities in the water.

LESSON TYPES

All ISR lessons take place 10 minutes a day, 5 days a week, for approximately 6 weeks. This schedule is definitely a time commitment, but is necessary for the retention of skills your child will learn because it allows muscle memory to be created.

ROLLBACK TO FLOAT

Six Months to Early Walkers

Your child will learn how to rollback from a face-down posture in the water to a floating posture. They will also learn how to maintain this posture (even if fully clothed) until help arrives.

SWIM-FLOAT-SWIM

Solid Walkers

Your child will learn to swim underwater until air is needed, rollback to a floating position to breathe and rest, and then flip over to continue swimming.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR

Lisa Baldwin

ISR Certified Instructor

I am so excited to be your Bonita Springs/Estero ISR Instructor! I moved to SW Florida in December 2018 with my husband and daughter and we have been loving it ever since!

It was extremely important to me that I enroll my daughter in ISR lessons once we moved. We all know pools, canals, lakes, ponds, and the Gulf are right outside all of our front doors. What a lot of people don't know is that drowning is the leading cause of accidental death in kids up to 4 years old. My daughter completed lessons with Fernanda Whitney in Naples in July 2019 and while no child is ever drown-proof, my mind was eased.

Throughout my daughter's lessons I absolutely fell in love with ISR. As a former 2nd grade teacher and STEAM teacher of toddlers up to middle schoolers, I have always had a passion for educating kids. Being an ISR Instructor allows me apply my passion for education to helping children and their parents remain safe in our water-centric community! I am proud to be a part of the "Not One More Child Drowns" movement and can't wait to meet you and your little one(s)!
